its location was indeed amazing and beautiful, short walk to such nice lake and hill as well as grundarfjordur, kirkufell, and the entire peninsula. quiet atmosphere, eva the host has done above and beyond for us.

The apartment at Hellnafell in Grundarfjordur was absolutely amazing! The rooms were comfortable and cozy, making me feel right at home. The fully equipped kitchen was a game-changer for someone like me who loves cooking. Plus, the flat-screen TV with satellite channels was an added bonus for some entertainment. And don't even get me started on the soft bed linen and fluffy towels. Such a delightful stay!

Well, if I had to pick one thing, it would be the shower. It was a bit small for my liking, but hey, that's just my personal preference.

It's a spectacular apartment just off Kirkjufell and a large hill overlooking the town and the sea and the surrounding mountains, I stayed here with mother.

Wow! Our Christmas stay was absolutely incredible. The location was out of this world, with stunning views and complete privacy. We were able to spot the Northern Lights right from our dining room, and even from the bedroom! It was truly magical. The house itself had all the amenities we needed, and more. We loved having a big TV to mirror our phones and enjoy our trip photos. And the all-round window dining area was just breathtaking, with the most amazing view of Kirkjufell right in front of us. We couldn't get enough!

Honestly, there's not much to complain about. The only thing that would've made our stay even better is if there was a washing machine included.

This place was an absolute dream! The size and location were mind-blowing - horses on one side, water and mountains on the other, and a charming waterfall nearby. The owner was super responsive and even provided us with extra towels. The spaciousness of the house and the incredible view through the windows were simply jaw-dropping. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. Communication with Eva was a breeze, and she was extremely friendly and understanding. The small village setting added to the charm, and being close to the national park was a big plus. The privacy, comfortable accommodations, and breathtaking views of the mountains, waterfalls, and oceanfront were beyond anything we could have imagined. We wished we could have stayed longer. The host was conscientious and quick to respond to any messages. The house itself was incredibly spacious and perfect for large groups. We couldn't believe that we could actually see Kirkjufell from inside the house! The sit outside in front of the sea and mountain was fantastic. The walk to Kirkjufellfoss to see the famous waterfalls and mountain backdrop took around 20-30 minutes and was totally worth it.

Absolutely stunning location with breathtaking views. Large home perfect for large parties. Super kind and charming host who goes above and beyond. Fully modern kitchen with all necessary cookware. Icelandic horses grazing outside our window.

I always stay at this place in Grundarfjordur because it's perfect for me. They have everything I need: free Wi-Fi, free parking, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. The staff is amazing; they even helped me return my forgotten headphones. I'll definitely be back for my next trip!

We had the most incredible time staying at a place with the most amazing view in Iceland. We were in awe of the breathtaking Mount Kirkjufell right in front of us. The house itself was well-equipped and comfortable, with comfortable beds that ensured a good night's sleep. We also enjoyed the all-round window dining/common space, which allowed us to take in the stunning surroundings. Although there were a few minor inconveniences, like a slightly leaky shower and the lack of a coffee maker, they did not detract from our overall experience. Despite these small drawbacks, we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable stay surrounded by nature. our stay at Hellnafell was truly unforgettable.
